Snack Bar Schedule & Requirements

LMBA Snack Bar Guidelines

LMBA Snack Bar Guidelines

IMPORANT NEW INFORMATION:

Team Managers are held responsible for scheduling and ensuring that they have adequate team representatives to assist in the LMBA Snack Bar for each shift assigned to their team.

Please read the rule below that is part of LMBA Official Rules and Regulations:

  1. 2.3.14.  Managers are required to provide team representatives to volunteer in the league snack bar or in other volunteer capacity that provides a benefit to LMBA (e.g., assisting with registrations, apparel sales, etc.) as approved by LMBA Board policies on the dates assigned to their team. Failure to provide the required number of volunteers for the full shift as assigned shall result in a reassignment of volunteer hours (at up to 1 1⁄2 times the duration initially assigned) and a suspension of the manager in violation for that team’s next game.

Teams are required to supply volunteers from their team parents or, hire their own substitutes. The league will not honor requests for team buyouts for any assigned snack bar shifts.

The Snack Bar is essential to LMBA and its success depends on parent volunteers. I look forward to working with all of you as we serve together to make this Spring 2021 season a great experience for our players, visitors and fellow parents.

Please read the following guidelines for the LMBA Snack Bar prior to your first team shift:

• All team shifts have been assigned and it is the responsibility of the Team Parent to schedule representatives from your team to work the shifts as scheduled. The timing of each shift determines the # of volunteers necessary and is noted on the schedule.

• Minimum of 2 adult volunteers (18 years or older) are required for each shift.

• The minimum age to work in the snack bar is 16.

• Failure of a team to properly staff the snack bar will result in it’s closure and the responsible will be in violation to Rule 2.3.14.

• Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your shift time to allow for an easy transition from one team to another.

• One free drink per shift is provided to snack bar workers. All other food must be purchased.

• Completion of a shift is either the last game of the day (after clean-up is complete) or,  when the following shift arrives at the snack bar to begin their duty.

• Weeknight shifts include the opening and closing procedures for the snack bar. These procedures will be emailed to you prior to your first scheduled shift.

• Children of snack bar volunteers are not allowed in the snack bar during a shift; please arrange for them to wait outside for you until your shift is over.

IMPORANT NEW INFORMATION:

Team Managers are held responsible for scheduling and ensuring that they have adequate team representatives to assist in the LMBA Snack Bar for each shift assigned to their team.

Failure to provide the required number of volunteers per shift will result in closure of the snack bar for that shift and subject to the penalty stated in LMBA Rule 2.3.14 as stated above.

The league will not provide any shift buy-out provisions. Teams may coordinate their own paid volunteers as long as they provide the required 2 adult volunteers per shift.
